Once in Cross-in-Hand the turn of to the farm is a tarmac drive opposite the tennis club entrance. it is signed to Stuart Ford Fencing Supplies and English Woodlands. Your are on the right track if you pass the 700ft TV transmitter.
Bear right on to the unmade track near the entrance to English Woodland. The track is about a mile long, part dirt and part concrete. Continue as far as you can go and you will reach the farm.
NOTE: After rainfall the track will be rough/muddy in places.
The road is a single track and rough in places although it does have lay-bys for passing. It is also a bridle path so you may encounter Horses and Dog walkers.
Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Upminster.
Directions to Airfield By Car:
Damyns Hall Aerodrome is approximately a 15 minute drive from junction 29/31 on the M25, a 25 minute drive from Canary Wharf or a 30 minute drive from the City of London.
If arriving from south of the Thames heading Northbound; Pass through the Dartford Crossing then take the first exit (junction 31.)
Once you have vacated the motorway, when the lanes start, get in the centre lane of the 3 lanes initially and follow the lane marked AV'LEY onto Ship Lane.
Follow Ship lane until you reach the first mini roundabout and take the first exit (left turn onto High Street.)
Continue down high street until you reach the next mini roundabout and take the second exit (right turn onto Mill Road.)
Continue down Mill Road, when you reach the next mini roundabout, continue straight ahead (second exit) then get in the right hand lane at the major roundabout and take the second exit (lane marked UPMIN.)
Follow Romford Road>Avely Road for 2 miles, the entrance for Damyns hall will be on your left.
